Don Barshinger

Creative Director, Content

Don loves scientists. He delights in their never-ending curiosity and constant desire to find a better way of doing things. He also loves writing about science, helping companies and organizations develop an understanding of the products and services that will accelerate and advance their work. The list of companies he has worked with includes many of the major players in life sciences, as well as a few companies you probably haven’t heard of—yet.

Don has a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois and a Master of Education degree from National Louis University. In his spare time he enjoys collecting shoe laces and wondering if anyone ever reads bios.

Tommy Torres

Creative Director, Design

Tommy has dedicated his career to creating brand identities—including brands for many Fortune 500 companies. Most of his time has been spent in the life sciences, creating visuals that bring compelling messaging to life. He captures his clients’ vibe through his love of turning complexity into simple, aesthetically pleasing visual communication. Tommy’s talents in illustration, graphic design, industrial design, and art/creative direction have helped put dozens of award-winning campaigns under his belt, some of which have evolved and are still running a decade after inception.

Tommy majored in Communication Arts with a minor in Fine Arts and Illustrations, and received his Bachelor’s degree from The Art Institute of Chicago. In his free time, he enjoys his family, being on the water, off-roading, or being creative with metal fabrication.

Frank Tranfaglia

Chief Ideator

Frank is a seasoned marketing ideation professional with more than 25 years’ experience working with major corporate brands in the life sciences and high-tech industries. He has a demonstrated successful history in business operations, talent acquisition, client relations, account management, project management, creative direction, brand strategy, and digital marketing. Frank believes that at the heart of every successful engagement is a clear understanding of the unique brand ethos, goals, and vibe of each client. This in turn facilitates the creation of fresh and memorable marketing programs. Frank has spent the last 10 years as owner and operator of Creative Vibe, Inc., based in San Diego, CA. He loves what he does, is fiercely loyal to his team—who have been a consistent driving force from the beginning—and is committed to providing a friction-free and productive experience to his clients.

Frank earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management from the College of Management, at the University of Massachusetts. He loves to travel abroad, and is also a skilled composer and musician with several years of tour-level experience.
